RECO with the funding of IDA intends to finance the assignment/services described below under Electricity Access Scale-up and Sector Wide Approach Development Project (EASSDP).
The purpose of the consultancy is to assist the newly formed Electricity Access Roll out Project (EARP) in RECO to fulfill its obligations in putting in place a strong Planning and Design unit, to create a database, planning, prioritization and design platform for the unit and to conduct Planning and Design activities on a dynamic basis for the various contractors and RECO internal construction department in the roll-out program as well as building long term sustainability of local capacity.
Some of the key staff will include a Planning socialist, GIS expert, Electricity Network Design Expert. This assignment shall last for a period of 18 months.
RECO now invites eligible consultants to indicate their interest in providing the services. Interested consultants must provide, information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (brochures, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff, etc.). Consultants may associate to enhance their qualifications.
Consultants will be selected in accordance with the procedures set out in the current edition of the World Bank’s Guidelines: Selection and Employment of Consultants by World Bank Borrowers.
