Nigeria's first lady ,Mrs Patience Jonathan last night hosted the under 20 national female team who won silver in Germany in the just concluded FIFA U-20 Women World Cup .
Mrs Jonathan who announced a scholarship package to the silver winning team said the reception was to show gratitude to them for doing Africa proud. "Your brilliance and performance is noted, ours is a glorious loss to Germany as they were determined."
The team, which lost gallantly by 0-2 to host Germany in the final of the World Cup, became the first African team to reach the final of the championship. The first lady also commended the country's athletics representatives in Canada for their efforts.
